Updated WorshipSafe Protocols effective March 21, 2022

 

If you have not been to our parish during the pandemic, we look forward to welcoming you back to church!

Here are our WorshipSafe protocols to maintain a safe church environment:

BEFORE COMING TO CHURCH

- Please continue self-screening for Covid-19 symptoms and stay home if you have any symptoms.

- We encourage you to use the washroom before coming to church. Washrooms are available for emergency use only.  

ARRIVING AT CHURCH

- All capacity limits, including physical distancing requirements, are removed.

- Indoor mask use is optional but highly recommended.

- Hand sanitizer will continue to be provided upon entry.

- You will no longer need to write your contact information (for contact tracing) before entering the church.

- Please respect the wish of those who would like to continue wearing masks and maintaining physical distancing.

- Confessions are heard in the confessional.  Masks are highly recommended during the entire confession.

CELEBRATION OF THE EUCHARIST

- Altar servers, Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion will still be kept at a minimum.  Please do not enter the sacristy unless you have been asked to assist during Mass.

- Offertory procession and collection remain suspended. Please leave donation in the basket upon entry/departure.

- A nod or bow at the Sign of Peace will remain.

- When receiving Communion, observe physical distancing by following the red lines on the floor.

- Follow the orderly flow of communion distribution, i.e., where parishioners seated in different sections should line up to receive Communion.

- Please step on the red box in front of the priest or minister, extend your hands to receive Communion, step to the side at the red arrow [remove your mask if you are wearing one], put the Eucharist in your mouth [put your mask back on], and walk back to your seat.

- While Holy Communion will continue to be given on the hand, kindly wait at the end of the Communion line if you wish to receive Holy Communion on the tongue.

GENERAL

- Our church will be open only for church services.

- Please do not touch the statues and crucifixes on the altar and sanctuary.

- Please ask the ushers if you would like to light a candle.

- If you suddenly feel ill, please leave the church for the health and safety of others gathered.

- If you would like to volunteer to help at the parish, please contact the parish office.
